Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy
A Powerful Tool for Improving the Quality of Life
Is hypnosis something bad, something serious, something mystical or dangerous?
“I would like to try hypnosis, but I do not dare.”
“What if I fall asleep and never wake up again?”
“What if you hypnotize me and make me do things that I would never do in my normal state?”
“I am afraid to go to hypnosis because I might reveal things that I have never told anyone before.”
“I do not know what might come out of me.”
“What if I am not receptive to hypnosis and I cannot reach the desired state?”
“I would like to explore past lives, but I do not know if it is good to discover what I did in the past, how I lived, and who I was.”
“I would like to improve my quality of life, but I do not know if I will succeed.”
“I would like to stop smoking, but I doubt that I can do it.”
“I want to lose weight, become more confident, overcome fears, phobias, depression, anxiety and other difficulties… but in the end, there is always the doubt: What if it does not work?”
The answer to all of these questions is:
Come, try it, experience it, allow yourself, accept it, and do not doubt.
Make the decision – and come.
My name is Alen Marić. I am an experienced hypnotherapist with an internationally recognized certificate and professional training from the program of OMNI Hypnosis Training Center, based in Switzerland.
In a little more than five and a half years, I have completed approximately 2,500 therapy sessions, working with a truly wide variety of different challenges and situations.
I have never refused a client.
I have worked with children on the autism spectrum, people with serious addictions, completely paralyzed people, athletes, entrepreneurs, companies as groups, and people experiencing physical or psychosomatic difficulties of many different kinds.
I could continue listing many more examples.
Performing hypnosis and hypnotherapy is, for me, a true calling of the soul.
It represents genuine help for people, a contribution of our small part to creating a better today and an even better tomorrow.
Hypnosis – Between Myths and Truth
Different movies, myths, stories and even innocent cartoons have distorted the meaning of the word hypnosis. Because of this, hypnosis has become something mystical, magical and hidden from people.
The main reason for this is a lack of knowledge.
Lack of knowledge is often the beginning of false beliefs.
The spreading of misinformation and false stories about hypnosis has caused great harm to people throughout history. A large number of people, even millions, could have improved their quality of life, but because of their lack of understanding of hypnosis, they chose to continue suffering.
Unfortunately, many things in society are also influenced by economic interests and the strengthening of personal ego. An inflated ego can create manipulation, fear and a focus on the power of individuals.
Through power, economic and social positions are created, and divisions appear:
“We are who we are, and you are who you are.”
Some people create the belief that they are above others and that others cannot succeed without them.
Unfortunately, this is one of the reasons why the true meaning and purpose of hypnosis was lost over time. Hypnosis became something that many people began to perceive as dangerous.
However, some individuals always knew that hypnosis could help them significantly improve their quality of life.
Unfortunately, I have noticed – and I say this very clearly – that in our country I have not yet found a hypnotherapist who publicly states that hypnosis can also support healing processes.
I allow myself to speak openly about this and say:
Fortunately, hypnosis can help resolve certain symptoms and difficulties, and in some cases it can contribute to complete recovery from certain problems.
Of course, not every illness and not every difficulty.
Hypnosis is not a miracle cure.
However, it is a powerful tool and a key that can help people work on illnesses, symptoms, emotional burdens and pain.
This is the truth.
Unfortunately, even today many hypnotherapists are required to write that hypnosis only helps improve quality of life.
That is true – but hypnosis can also support healing and transformation.
One Example from My Practice
A 38-year-old man came to me.
Since the age of six, he had suffered from epileptic seizures – between two and six seizures every single day.
Every day.
For 32 years, he had been fighting a battle with this condition and with his own life.
His single mother had already lost hope and was close to emotional exhaustion.
They lived without his father. He had never met his father, who had left his mother before he was born.
Throughout all those years, they searched for help through conventional medicine, which was absolutely the correct thing to do.
The doctors and specialists helped them as much as they could and had good intentions. Unfortunately, the real cause of his epilepsy was never discovered.
He received many different medications, treatments, examinations, consultations and support.
Unfortunately, nothing improved. In some ways, it became even worse.
He came to me for two hypnotherapy sessions.
Since then, he has not experienced epileptic seizures anymore.
At the beginning, there were only one or two minor episodes, but nothing more after that.
Almost one year has passed since then.
And look at him today:
He is happy, he completed his diploma thesis, he can live a normal life and he is no longer afraid of the future.
He also helped his mother through his recovery.
Yes – through his recovery.
Another Example from My Practice
Another example:
Parents brought a 17-year-old boy to me.
He had serious difficulties pronouncing words correctly.
Nobody was able to help him anymore.
What touched me deeply was hearing him say, with great difficulty, that everyone had already given up on him.
Nobody could help him anymore.
Even conventional medicine unfortunately had not found a solution for him.
I would like to emphasize this once again:
I fully support and believe that a client should first consult their doctor and, if necessary, appropriate medical specialists.
Professional medical help should always be the first step.
However, if a person wishes, they can later also seek support from a hypnotherapist.
In this particular case, the young man came to me only once – and after that he was able to speak completely normally.
His self-confidence grew again, together with many other qualities that he had lost during that difficult period.
He had lost his confidence and developed feelings of inferiority.
Together, we changed this pattern.
Today he is a completely normal young man who, during this time, also found a partner.
Before that, this seemed like an impossible mission for him.
Five years have already passed since then.
I want to make something very clear:
I am not a magician.
I am not a miracle worker.
I am not a person with supernatural abilities.
I am simply a human being – a person who performs this work with my soul and my heart.
I am someone who is honored and grateful to carry the title of hypnotherapist.
I see my work as a true calling, and I am aware of this every single day.
How Does Hypnosis Work?
During hypnosis, when working on difficulties or problems, the client is the one who actively works on changing and overcoming them.
The client helps themselves.
They help themselves because they want to and because they allow themselves to change.
I know the techniques needed to guide a person into a desired state of deep relaxation, where the real process begins.
I understand systematic therapeutic work, I observe facial expressions and body language.
I recognize emotional processes, hidden feelings and suppressed emotions.
Together with the client, I experience and process emotions – happiness, but also sadness and deeply stored pain.
I breathe together with the client and fully accompany their process.
Everything is connected.
Simply said:
I give my whole self to every therapy – not only 100%, but with complete dedication.
This is where added value is created.
This is where trust is created.
This is where progress and transformation begin.
This is my fundamental key:
A systematic and guided approach that helps the client discover their own inner strength and make their own changes.
We have somewhat forgotten the meaning of the words self-healing and self-empowerment.
The essence is this understanding:
The client themselves are the most important key to improving their own life.
Hypnosis in Today’s World
I am very happy that hypnosis is no longer such a strong taboo subject today.
More and more people are becoming open to hypnosis.
This is also supported by the fact that many world-famous personalities use hypnosis.
Hypnosis is increasingly used for pain-free childbirth, in dentistry, and it is becoming more accepted and used within conventional medicine.
It is very important that people understand and know this:
During hypnosis, the client remains completely in control of themselves.
The level of awareness does not become weaker during hypnosis. On the contrary, it can become stronger. We can become even more present in the moment and more connected with ourselves and our surroundings.
As a result, our senses can become more focused.
We can hear sounds around us more clearly, perceive smells more intensely, and the circulation of blood can improve.
The brain can receive more oxygen than usual.
The client is aware of their surroundings, their thoughts, and hears every word spoken by the hypnotherapist.
The most important thing:
The client has control over their body and can open their eyes, stand up and leave the room at any time.
This has never happened during my work, because if a person truly wanted to leave, there would be no reason for them to participate in therapy in the first place.
I want to make this clear:
A person has control over themselves.
And because this control is present, a natural feeling of safety is created.
Manipulation is not possible, because the person can always decide what they want to say, what they do not want to say, and what they choose to accept.
They can control their thoughts and accept only what feels right and beneficial for them.
What Can Hypnosis Help With?

Finding the Cause – Not Only Treating the Symptoms
A very important fact:
Hypnosis can help discover the main and original cause behind an illness, difficulty, or emotional burden.
The client is supported in becoming aware of this cause.
Once the cause has been discovered and brought into awareness, the client needs support in learning how to reduce and release the emotional power connected to that experience permanently.
The goal is not only to change the consequence, but to work with the true cause.
When the cause has been discovered, understood and its emotional power has been transformed, a domino effect can begin.
The consequences that developed from that cause can gradually start to disappear and lose their influence.
With additional therapy sessions, we can continue working on other unnecessary patterns, habits, emotional burdens and inner limitations.
It sounds very simple – sometimes even too simple – and yet it is true.
Hypnosis works because the client works on the level of the subconscious mind, not only on the conscious level of memory and thoughts.
The ego is less dominant.
Access to deeply stored memories and suppressed emotions can become available.
The hypnotic state can be an ideal environment for recognizing and processing hidden emotions and memories.
Today, many difficulties and problems are approached mainly from the conscious level.
To help readers understand:
Many of the problems mentioned above are already consequences of something deeper.
As long as we only deal with the consequence, the original cause may remain unresolved.
The subconscious mind is a very powerful part of who we are.
It influences our habits, our behavior and many decisions we make every day.
However, if we believe that we can simply trick our subconscious mind with our conscious thoughts, we are often mistaken.
The subconscious mind is not our enemy.
It is our greatest friend, because the subconscious mind is a part of ourselves.
Everything we do and everything we try to achieve is ultimately connected with our own protection and well-being.
The subconscious mind does not want to harm us.
Instead, it sends us a message:
“Please resolve me. Help yourself, and I will no longer create difficulties for you, because the cause is no longer hidden.”
When we discover the cause, become aware of it and transform the emotional power connected to it, we create freedom.
And then we can finally be grateful to ourselves.
Because we ourselves have found the key to changing the cause and the power of the difficulty permanently.
The Decision for Change
So:
You came.
You tried.
You experienced it.
You allowed yourself to change.
In other words:
You made a decision.
You decided for hypnotherapy.
Be proud of yourself and grateful to yourself.
I am grateful that you chose me and trusted me.
With great pleasure and dedication,
Your Hypnotherapist
